- I am a Pastel Artist, and I have been painting for 4 years. I will be 65 in June. A late bloomer! Being wife, mother, grandmother & greatgrandmother has given me so much happiness! Becoming an artist has added a whole new dimension to my life. It's been very challenging & rewarding. My fellow artists became friends and I love being with them. I enjoy Plein Aire Painting & participating in competitions and workshops. There is always more to learn! My husband, Ron and I have had so many great times on sites. While I paint, he reads or visits with artists or people passing by. He's been wonderfully supportive. My daughter, Samantha helps me create brochures & has done all my computer work and she and her family comes to my shows. It's definitely been a family effort & I've appreciated all their interest.

Recently I participated in Augusta's Plein Aire Competitions in April, ending with the show the lst Sat in May. The artists begin painting April 23rd. The art created was amazing & at each event I learn more. It was a very organized 10 days & we were offered many opportunities. This little town is so friendly & unique.
